Six trucks have been called to a fire in Melbourne’s west

A house has gone up in flames at Braybrook.

It took six fire trucks to battle the blaze at the rear of a single storey weatherboard house on Hinkler Street.

The fire was brought under control around 4.30pm.

A caller to 3AW Drive told Tom Elliott he heard an explosion in the area.
