Skyrail construction site and Rowville home targeted in drive-by shootings
Police have revealed the Skyrail construction site and a house in Rowville were targeted in drive-by shootings on the same day.
Several construction workers were at the site near Mary Street, Clayton when a single shot was fired from a stolen white Mazda van (above) in the early hours of March 3.
No-one was injured.
Police have today revealed the van was earlier used in a drive-by shooting at a home in Providence Place, Rowville on the same day.
None of five people home at the time were injured.
Two male occupants of the house attempted to follow the van along Wellington Road before losing sight of the vehicle.
It was later spotted by police driving erratically along Carinish Road, Clayton before speeding off.
The van, which is believed to have had up to five people on board, was later found burnt out on Daley Street, Oakleigh South.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
