Sly details the 15-year battle between police and Melbourne Victory ‘hooligans’

Sly has revealed that Melbourne Victory management first approached police about problematic supporters 15 years ago.

Victory were concerned that hooligans had begun to infiltrate the support base known as the ‘North Terrace’, and had begun taking “flares inside salad rolls” to games.

Due to there being no security camera footage available at the time, the police devised an elaborate plan to identify the offenders.
