Sly of the Underworld has explained why police stations being closed at night in Victoria will “backfire big time”.

Twenty-three stations will reduce their reception hours from the end of November, with another 20 to follow in the coming months.

“The command have to explain that this is a temporary move,” Sly told Ross and Russel.
