A young soccer fan claims he felt ‘violated and intimidated’ when he was questioned by a police officer on his way to last night’s game.

George Karantzalis, 16, told Neil Mitchell the officer approached him and told him to take off the flag he was wearing as he headed to Etihad for the match.

‘He pulled my jacket, and pulled me to the side saying to take my flag off that I had on my back,’ he said.

‘I felt violated, I was pulled over for no reason, so many people were wearing different kinds of flags.’

He said he was unaware of any bans on fans wearing flags.
