There’s light at the end of the tunnel for more than 1700 people left in limbo after the collapse of Porter Davis.

The Victorian Managed Insurance Authority has conducted a review and a panel of builders have been assessed as financially capable of helping Porter Davis victims.

Rhett Simonds, managing director of Simonds Homes — which is one of the builders assessed — says work has already begun on “about a dozen” former Porter Davis builds.
