South Africa spanks Australia in final Test to seal series win

Australia’s tumultuous Test series in South Africa is over.

The hosts flogged Australia by 492 runs to win the fourth and final Test at Wanderers.

South Africa won the series 3-1.

The Australians began the final day at 3/82 but lost seven wickets in just 80 minutes of play, dismissed for 119 in the second innings.

While not unexpected, the thrashing capped off a series marred by sledging and the now infamous ball-tampering scandal.
