South Australia tipped to be site of nuclear waste dump in AUKUS deal
The federal Labor government is being urged to “cut to the chase” and declare where it will be dumping high-level nuclear waste that will be required under AUKUS pact.
The Woomera rocket range in far-north South Australia is believed to be the site that will be identified.
Ross and Russel asked David Penberthy, co-host of Breakfast on FiveAA in South Australia, where South Australians wanted the waste dumped.
“I think Victoria is probably the simple answer,” he said with a laugh.
