Peter Malinauskas has responded to a bizarre edict from the South Australian Tourism Commission on how to refer to Adelaide.

The SA premier says visitors and locals alike are welcome to call the city whatever they like, despite the tourism board asking people not to call Adelaide the ‘City of Churches’ or ‘Radelaide’.

“The South Australian Tourism Commission is trying to make sure there’s a different perception of (the state) than there has been in the past,” Mr Malinauskas told Tony Jones on 3AW.

“But for me as premier, people can call us whatever they like.”
