There’s been a shooting in South Melbourne this morning in the third case of shocking violence for that street this week.

Residents in and near Park St called police after hearing gunshots about 2.30am today.

Officers arrived a short time later to discover a man had been shot inside an apartment.

The victim suffered a non-life-threatening wound to his leg and was taken to hospital for treatment.

No arrests have been made and investigations are now underway into the circumstances.

It is the third violent incident to occur in Park Street over the past week.

A man was stabbed on Wednesday and woman’s body found on Saturday.

24 HOURS OF VIOLENCE

Several hours later, a man fired a gun into the yard of a Woori Yallock property on Allsops Road.

Two woman were home at the time and escaped unharmed.

The shooter has been arrested without incident.

At Epping, a Lalor boy, 17, suffered a serious injury when he was stabbed at a shopping centre about 7pm on Thursday.

He another boy were attacked by two men in a car as they walked through the car park.

The injured boy was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Meanwhile, there was also a stabbing at Braybrook.

In the incident, the male victim, 54, stumbled into a pub to raise the alarm.
