Sparks fly as trains grind to halt
There’s train delays around the city after sparks were seen flying from a train near Flinders Street station.
Metro Trains have confirmed issues with overhead powers lines.
The MFB say they responded to the issue, but say it was categorised as a false alarm because there was “no fire”, only electrical arcing.
There are 30-minute delays for trains between Richmond and Flinders St, and some passengers have been forced to evacuate between stations.
3AW Breakfast listener Rob captured the moment sparks flew.
He started filming after hearing several bangs from his nearby apartment.
