The Montague Street bridge has been hit again, coming just days after the speed limit in the area was reduced down to 40km/h.

Despite the multiple warning bollards and extensive media coverage about the infamous bridge, Department of Transport spokesperson Chris Miller is dumbfounded that drivers keep ignoring the warnings around the area.

“I’m not entirely sure how it happens but it does happen,” he told Jacqui Felgate.

“I don’t know how you don’t know that the Montague Street bridge is a low clearance.”
