Speed limit for trucks on Monash Freeway drops to 90km/h under trial

The speed limit for trucks along the Monash Freeway is dropping to 90km/h from today as part of an 18-month trial.
The move has left many truckies furious.
The government says it will improve interactions between cars and trucks and reduce crashes and delays.
The limit will run between Huntingdale and Jacksons roads.
A second phase, which would involve banning trucks from the right hand lane, has also been floated.
Premier Daniel Andrews posted an interactive video on his Facebook page, explaining the trial.
