Speed limit on the Tullamarine Freeway to change to 80km/h in both directions

RUMOUR CONFIRMED: The speed limit on the Tullamarine Freeway will be dropped to 80km/h in both directions. 

‘SLOW RUN’ told the 3AW Breakfast Rumour File when major upgrades to the major freeway are complete, the speed limit will be reduced.

Vic Roads says the speed will remain at 80km/h between Citylink and Mickleham Road when the works are completed.

‘From Mickleham Road onwards, it will be 100km/h,’ a VicRoads spokeswoman said. 

‘However, the speed isn’t fixed and it will be raised to 100km/h when it is safe to do so.’
