Sport economist argues why superstar footballers should be paid more

A senior accounting lecturer and sports economics expert has given reasons for why the top AFL players should be paid more.

Dr Patrick Ferguson says they came to the decision after research into the wins each player delivers for their team.

“The AFL superstar players deliver their teams one and a half to two wins per season for their teams, singlehandedly,” he told Tom Elliott.
