Sport guru predicts next big tech advancements in sport
Melbourne is playing host to a huge sport symposium this week, attracting leaders in sports administration and technology from all over the world.
The two-day conference, called SportNXT, will tackle the future of data, broadcast and even non-fungible tokens and blockchain technology and what role they can play in sport.
Scott Dinsdale, Sport NXT Content Director, told Tony Jones the fan experience will be a lot richer in the future.
“I think we’ve just started,” he said on 3AW Drive.
“It’s going to start with basic things, like where’s the shortest line to the loo, those sorts of things.
“You’ll see more and more, that’s it about not just what’s on the field and in the stadium, it’s about making sure that the connected fan has a terrific experience both in the context of the sport and in connecting to the facilities that the stadium has to offer.”
