Spring Carnival ticket price jump

The cost of getting into Flemington’s iconic Spring Carnival just got pricier.

Neil Mitchell revealed on Thursday a host of changes to prices this year.

The biggest jump is on Melbourne Cup day.

The price of a general admission ticket will cost $10 more than last year, with a jump from $79 to $89.

A Derby Day ticket in 2017 was $74. This year? $83.

Stakes Day tickets have also increased by $9, with a $5 spike on Oaks Day.

The “early bird” incentive has also been scrapped.

310,608 people attended the four days of last year’s carnival.
