St Kilda legend weighs in on premiership cup name debate

While Brownlow medalist and St Kilda legend Neil Roberts was one of Ron Barassi’s great competitors on the field he was one of Ron’s good friends outside of football.

The AFL Hall of Famer told Mark Allen and Jimmy Bartel renaming the premiership cup after Ron Barassi would be very appropriate.

“In the finish he became a really dear friend and great company, that change is the impression that sticks with me with Ron,” Neil Roberts said.
