Stabbing in Melbourne department store

Police are investigating a stabbing in Little Bourke Street this afternoon.

The David Jones staff member was allegedly stabbed in the arm after he confronted a man and woman who had allegedly stolen a designer handbag.

The worker has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.
