Stakes Day Cinderella counting the cost over lost raceday shoe!
A weekend racegoer is counting the cost after she lost a designer brand shoe at Flemington on Saturday.
To make matters worse, the shoes weren’t hers.
The story was first aired on the Rumour File this morning.
Meg Landrigan, who works at 3AW, borrowed the pair of of Givenchy shoes on Stakes Day but somehow only arrived home with one of them.
If the second shoe isn’t found, she’s up for about $2000 for a replacement pair!
“I took them off to walk about 500 metres to a hire car I had waiting, and replaced them with a pair of flats,” she told Tom Elliott.
But the next morning when she checked in her bag, one of the shoes was gone.
She’s gone to great lengths to try and track them down and her friend was being “amazing” but was disappointed.
