Starting preschool early could benefit children in the future
New research suggests children would benefit from starting preschool at the age of three.
The Mitchell Institute has recommended putting children in school earlier, in a bid to give students a ‘more equal footing’.
Researcher Stacey Fox says there are advantages of starting early.
‘We really have an opportunity to boost the lifetime outcomes of all children, and to make a real substantial contribution to Australia’s social and economic prosperity into the future.’ She told 3AW News.
