State Library roof collapse rumours quashed
Works are being done on the roof in one of the State Library of Victoria’s rooms, sparking concerns the ceiling may have collapsed.
Acting CEO of the State Library, Sarah Slade, has quashed those rumours.
“We have many rooms at the State Library and none of them are collapsing,” she told Ross and Russel.
“What’s happened is we’ve identified a small section of plaster ceiling that’s coming away in the popular Newspapers and Family History Room and we’re having it fixed.”
