State Minister for Roads is calling for country road speed limits to be lowered

Roads Minister, Luke Donellan wants the speed limit on country roads reduced.

Tom Elliot spoke with Mr Donellan and asked him ‘Do you think speed is the reason the road toll won’t go down?’

‘The road toll won’t go down for various reasons’ – says the Minister. 

‘It’s not just speed, it’s drinking, fatigue it’s a whole lot of things’

Victorian government recently lowered the speed of Goulburn Valley Highway due to 5 deaths in months, there hasn’t been a death since.
