State public housing a victim of worst housing situation in postwar era

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese fired back at One Nation leader Pauline Hanson after she made comments about his late mother living in public housing for her entire life.

RMIT University urban and environmental policy lecturer Dr Liam Davies told 3AW Mornings host Tom Elliott that Victoria has the worst housing situation since postwar times.

“We currently have less social housing as a proportion of stock in Victoria than we did in the 1950s,” he said.
