Station wagon ends up in ocean off Rosebud Pier

A station wagon has ended up in the ocean at Rosebud Pier.

Police told 3AW Afternoons it was understood a man drove his car, with a boat trailer, onto the sandbank to attempt to retrieve his boat about 6.30am.

The boat has been recovered and there is extensive damage to the car.

There were no injuries.
