Steele Sidebottom reflects on Collingwood’s amazing season ahead of finals

Collingwood veteran Steele Sidebottom has admitted he didn’t expect his side to be sitting where they are right now at this point in the season.

The Magpies sit 4th on the ladder and face Geelong at the MCG on Saturday afternoon for a spot in the preliminary final.

The sudden Magpies resurgence from 17th on the ladder last year to where they are now has surprised Sidebottom but claims the team are growing in confidence with each passing game.

“The belief that we’re growing within the group is huge at the moment, and the coach has got a big deal to do with that,” Sidebottom told Sportsday.
