‘Steroids, knuckle dusters and a machete’: Operation Blue Ember puts border bikies out of action
Joint agency operation, Blue Ember, has shaken up Australia’s outlaw motorcycle network, as police take over 20 people into custody.
Focusing in on the north-east of Victoria, police seized firearms, drugs, weapons and cash in an effort to stop cross-border’s offending.
Speaking on 3AW Breakfast, Leading Senior Constable Adam West said that the operation’s success was a credit to cross agency relations.

“Blue Ember’s been going for the past four years, continuing into the future. And it’s basically looking to disrupt cross-border offending and drugs and weapons trafficking” West said.
Collaboration between Victoria and NSW Police, as well as specialist drug task force Viper and Raptor Squads in partnership with the Sheriff’s Office has been in operation for four years.
