Stranded dolphin rescued at Williamstown
Quick-thinking police have come to the rescue of a dolphin stranded at Williamstown.
Water police were called to Greenwich Reserve, where a dolphin has beached itself in shallow water, just after 4pm on Monday.
Marine experts from Melbourne Zoo had called for police assistance to rescue the animal.
The marine experts and police made a sling, towing the dolphin into deeper water, and successfully releasing it.
