Bus passengers may find themselves stranded tomorrow because of planned industrial action.

The Transport Workers Union will strike over pay affecting bus services around the state.

It will only be called off if the union and bus operator CDC Victoria can come to an agreement over pay.

Jeroen Weimar, CEO of PTV, told Tony Jones last ditch negotiations were still going on today.

“If the strike does go ahead it’ll have a real impact on places like Ballarat and Wyndham Vale where CDC run all the buses in those areas,” Mr Weimar said.

“Significant impact in Geelong and there’s about one in eight routes in the rest of Melbourne run by CDC.

“We expect by 6pm we’ll have a clear outcome.”
