Tony Moclair

A teenage boy has sustained minor injuries in a stabbing at a school in Melbourne’s west.

Police were called to the Hoppers Crossing Secondary College just after 11.30am this morning.

A student is currently assisting police with their enquiries.

3AW Afternoons understands the stabbing happened in a food tech classroom.

Caller Dianne said her grandson, who is a student at the school, is friends with the victim.

“It’s my grandson’s friend so it’s sad, but he’s going to be alright,” she told Dee Dee.

“It was quite a big knife.”

The school has declined to comment on the incident.
