Students are being given ‘trigger warnings’ for confronting content

Tom Elliott

University students are being pre-warned about confronting content that might come up in their classes.

Dr Bianca Fileborn from La Trobe University described the move as an effort to help protect the mental health of students.

‘It’s about enabling them to engage in a safe way, and in a way that minimises the potential for further trauma to occur,’ she said.
