Stuffed wallet makes its way home — three months later
First on The Rumour File
A wallet stuffed with more than $1000 has made it back to its owner, three months after being lost.
A chain of good Samaritans ensured the cash made it home to Kerrie Goodall, including a mystery person who found the wallet.
Ms Goodall had all but given up on finding her wallet when she was contacted by the Compton Green real estate agent who recently sold her Yarraville house.
Someone had dropped her wallet into her former letterbox and the new resident, Daniel, called Compton Green to complete the good deed.
Ms Goodall was content just to find the wallet — “because it’s a lovely wallet and was kind of expensive” — but was astounded to find that all the money was still side.
“Everything was there, it was unbelievable,” she told Justin and Kate on 3AW Breakfast.
The identity of the wallet-finder remains unknown.
“I’ll look after them,” said Ms Goodall, who’s eager to say thank you.
