Survey shows how Americans view the Australian accent

A survey conducted by Highland Titles has found that Americans view the Australian accent to be the most attractive.

Dr Rosey Billington, Lecturer in Linguistics at ANU, says that people often like accents very different to their own.

“Maybe something that’s a little bit more different, … further afield, is a little bit more enticing,” she told Jacqui Felgate.
