Suspicious fire destroys two cars and a garage at Ringwood East

Two cars and a garage have been destroyed in a suspicious fire at Ringwood East.

A number of nearby residents, as well as the male occupant of the home called triple zero after the first car, parked in the driveway of the Cleland Street home went up in flames shortly after 2am.

The fire spread to the garage, destroying a second car but fire crews were able to prevent any damage to the home.

Police are investigating.
