Sussan Ley resigns as health minister, Malcolm Turnbull confirms

Sussan Ley has resigned as health minister.

Malcolm Turnbull confirmed the news at a press conference.

Ms Ley had stood down temporarily while an investigation into her travel expenses claim was taking place.

But Mr Turnbull said on Friday she would not be returning to the role.

Her replacement will be named next week.

Arthur Sinodinos is currently filling the role.
