Sussan Ley steps aside as health minister while travel claims are investigated

Embattled health minister Sussan Ley has stood aside without ministerial pay while her travel claims are being investigated.

Ms Ley has apologised for billing taxpayers for a trip, in which she bought an investment property. 

It’s since been revealed Ms Ley has charged taxpayers for 27 separate trips to the holiday destination during her time in parliament.

She also claimed travel expenses for two New Year’s Eve Trips to the Gold Coast.

Ms Ley will front the media shortly.
