Sydney lawyer awarded $1200 after Dominos failed to deliver his pizza
A Sydney lawyer who ordered a Dominos pizza that never turned up has served the pizza chain a piece of humble pie, after he was awarded $1200 for his trouble.
Tim Driscoll ordered the pizzas on ANZAC Day 18 months ago, but when they never turned up, he was promised a refund of the $33 order.
But he never got it.
After chasing them for 12 months, he decided he’d take it to court.
‘Some may call it principle,’ he told Neil Mitchell.
‘It was a bit of a personal insult, I suppose.’
Dominos was ordered to refund his order and cover his legal fees. He denied it was a waste of the court’s time.
