Sydney Rd fuel spill: Delays hit Ring Road

A truck crash on Sydney Road caused major traffic delays on Tuesday..

The tanker took out traffic lights in the crash, just north of the M80 Ring Road.

It closed Sydney Road, as well as several Ring Road exits.

The tanker ruptured one of its tanks spilling fuel across the road.

Chris Miller from VicRoads told Ross and John light rain was making the clean-up difficult.

“The problem is we’ve got a bit of rain out there, so the fuel has spread right the rain,” he said.
