System glitch leaves massive number of bins uncollected

A “mapping glitch” has left some streets covered in rubbish for up to a week after the Port Philip council implemented a new system.

Mayor, Heather Consollo, says the issue is the result of a new contractor and a technical glitch.

“We did some trials and it was working really well, then when we went to roll out, a little bit of a glitch,” she told Neil Mitchell.
