‘Take our hats off to him’: Actor James Van Der Beek dies aged 48

Actor James Van Der Beek, known for his roles in various American shows including Dawson’s Creek, has died at the age of 48 following a battle with colorectal cancer.

Entertainment reporter Peter Ford says Van Der Beek had been selling off memorabilia to leave money for his six children.

“We take our hats off to him this morning,” he told Ross and Russ.
