“Taken for granted”: Tom Elliott blasts AFL for neglecting Tasmania

Tom Elliott has blasted the AFL for neglecting Tasmania.

Two storied Tasmanian football teams, Burnie and Devonport, won’t be fielding teams this year due to a lack of finances and players.

Tom said the AFL has focused too heavily on AFLX, AFLW, and expansion into New South Wales and Queensland.

“The AFL does all these things, but it is ignoring football heartland,” Tom said.

“It has taken Tasmanian football for granted.”
