Tasmania’s free school lunch program sparks debate over government vs. parental responsibility

A government-funded school lunch program in Tasmania is delivering thousands of free, cooked meals to students weekly, with founder Julie Dunbabin aiming for a nationwide rollout.

Inspired by international models, the initiative provides fresh daily food to ensure no child goes hungry.
