Taxi driving on ‘wrong side’ of Burwood Highway narrowly avoids collision

RUMOUR CONFIRMED: A woman who narrowly avoided colliding with a taxi driving on the wrong side of the Burwood Highway says she fears what might happen next.

3AW Breakfast was alerted to the drama on Monday, before Mandy explained what happened on 3AW Mornings. 

She said she was driving alongside another car around 2am Sunday when she was met with a frightening situation.

‘Headlights coming towards me, nowhere to go,’ she said.

The three cars managed to avoid a collision, with the driver of the taxi stopping and ‘apologising profusely’ for what had happened.

But Mandy said that gave her little comfort.

‘What I’m concerned about it is the general public,’ she said.
