Teaching now ‘more litigious’ as schools face increasing legal action by parents
It’s been revealed parents have been threatening legal action against schools if they fail to meet demands.
Independent education union general secretary, David Brear, says complaints from parents have increased in the last 20 years, but schools will accommodate requests “within reason”.
“When I started here, we had one in-house lawyer, now we’ve got six, and they’re all flat out, the jobs become .. more litigious, much more complicated,” he told Tom Elliott.
