Teal MP Zoe Daniel makes her view on Israel-Hamas conflict clear
Teal independent MP for Goldstein, Zoe Daniel, says she’s “really concerned” the Israel-Hamas conflict will spill into the rest of the region.
After two other teal MPs — Kylea Tink and Sophie Scamps — sided with the Greens in seeking to erase an a statement that Australia “stands with Israel and recognises its inherent right to defend itself”, Ms Daniel has made her view clear.

“My view has been from the beginning that Israel has a right to defend itself after those horrendous terrorist attacks by Hamas but that has to be within the boundaries of international law and civilians must be protected,” she told Neil Mitchell.
“Hamas is a terrorist organisation, pure and simple. But all Palestinians are not Hamas and if Palestinians are in the line of fire, Palestinian civilians, the Israeli military needs to find a way around them.”
