Tech futurist explains how driverless cars will change society

A tech futurist believes nearly all cars will be driverless within ten years.

In the 3AW studio with Nick McCallum, Steve Sammartino said driverless cars will reduce costs and increase mobility.

But Mr Sammartino said the biggest impact will be on house prices.

He said people might prefer to live further from the city if their car can do the commute for them.

‘I think we’re going to see a boom in country areas, just like the Model T invented suburbs,’ he said.
