Teen abused on Melbourne bus for wearing a turban
Police are searching for three people who threatened and abused a teenage boy for wearing a turban on a bus.
The Doncaster Secondary College student, 13, was left in tears and no longer willing to travel alone, following the incident on the 902 bus on February 23.
Police say two males and a female – believed to be in their late teens – got on the bus at Doncaster Shoppingtown at about 3.25pm.
The teens questioned why the boy was wearing what they called a ‘towel’ on his head and tried to remove the turban.
The boy wasn’t injured but was forced to get off the bus early at Eltham.
