Ross and Russ

A teenager has been arrested after a police vehicle was rammed during a pursuit in Melbourne’s east.

Detectives first spotted a Ford sedan speeding along Burwood Highway at about 1.40am.

They attempted to intercept the vehicle at Pippin Avenue and it crashed into a fence.

The driver allegedly rammed a police vehicle before fleeing the scene on foot.

The airwing and the canine unit assisted in the arrest of a 17-year-old Richmond boy, who was found in the front yard of a home on Holland Road in Burwood East.

Police say he was wanted over a number of alleged aggravated burglaries and car thefts during the past month.
