Teen becomes trapped after losing phone in mine shaft

A teenager has been rescued after becoming trapped in a mine shaft in the Warrandyte State Park at Black Flat.

It’s understood the teen dropped his phone and became trapped when he went to retrieve it.

He was discovered by a passerby at 5pm.

Emergency crews quickly arrived on scene and rescued him.

He is not believed to be injured.
