The victim of an aggravated burglary in Melbourne’s south-west has helped police locate his stolen vehicle and arrest two suspects.

Police say the man woke to the sound of someone stealing his Mitsubishi Lancer from his Manor Lakes home around 2am.

He got in another vehicle and followed the stolen car.

He called police who were able to intercept the vehicle and arrest two girls — a 15-year-old from Hoppers Crossing and a 16-year-old from Werribee — in a dead-end street.
